Flight was delayed, opted to pay $7 for internet instead of over priced food. VPN’d to check work email then logged into WoW.

See, I told you guys it was happening!!

I was so so so so so so close to pulling the trigger on buying a Panasonic HDDVX for around 5k (with a free 16GB P2 card)… however, a friend then told me about the Scarlet coming out next year. So, for those of you who care / know of the Red Cameras, you probably now know my dilemma.

After much thinking, I decided to say F HD (for now). I don’t REALLY need it, and by getting a used SD with XLRs, and then spending MORE money on good lights and sound… I can see where I am when the Scarlet comes out and decide if I want to invest the money for HD or not.

This decision already has saved me about 3k from what I would have spent to get the basics. Now I have more money to up the production in other ways :D
